1. What does fully supported bike tour mean?
It’s simple. You ride your bike, and we take care of everything else! Such as, we design the routes, set up roadside snacks, arrange your meals, and forward your luggage to your hotel. So you don’t have to worry about anything and just enjoy the cycling.
2. What kind of support can I expect while on tour?
When you’re on the bike, our guides are constantly looking out for your comfort and safety. Our support van is with you every mile of the way, offering water, snacks, and mechanical support and carrying your extra clothing. You can also hop in the van at any time, especially if you need a lift during tougher sections. A guide is with you on the road at all times, offering cycling tips and local insight as you move through the landscape.
3. What’s a Bike Day Like?
On a typical bike day with 60km distance, we will meet for breakfast at 8:00am and be ready to ride about 9:00 am. We generally divide the riding day into four parts of 15 kilometers each. After the first part, we have a snack break on the roadside, where we have local seasonal fruits, candy bars, drinks. After the second part, we have lunch, which would be in a local restaurant and serve authentic Sichuan dishes. After the third part, we have another snack break, and then to our hotels and dinner.
4. How’s the bike road quality?
At Chengdu plain, you mostly ride on small country roads and village tracks, concrete or tarmacked green ways in good condition; and on the Tibet Plateau, there would be plenty of ascents and descents, passing by the stunning snow-capped mountains and vast grasslands.

6. What’s the typical age range of your riders?
Our youngest rider was 6 years old, and the eldest guest was 76 years old. Most of our rides are between 45-75 years old.
7. How fit should I be?
Our trip is suitable for those with a reasonable to good level of fitness. We recommend preparing by doing some endurance fitness and, as always, our support vehicle is on hand should you need to rest. If you’re unsure you are capable of riding such distances, just give us a call or email and we can explain more about the trip.
8. Are the tour guides trained in safety and first aid?
As always, our team will be keeping a close eye on you during the trip and we are fully prepared for emergencies. We will have a first aid kit for minor injuries, support vehicle, multiple assistants and emergency radio capability. In case of severe injuries, we will call the nearest hospital for ambulance support. We take care of everything so you can ride and enjoy the journey with peace of mind.
9. What kind of hotel will I be stay?
We have carefully researched the most comfortable hotels for each overnight of the trip to ensure you can rest as well as possible. We can guarantee 3-4* hotel quality with hot water, clean rooms and western style bathrooms.
10. What is the food like?
This will be the main focus of our evenings – it is well known that Sichuan cuisine is some of the best in the world! It is less well known that, usually, each city has its own specialty. We will be trying each town’s best food as we make our way along the journey, and we also serve good quality wine on the bike tour.
