At Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, there are currently over 170 giant pandas in captivity here including adults and cubs (by the year of early 2018). Therefore this is the best place in the world for you to see the pandas. It’s better to arrive there in the early morning (before 09:00 am) because the pandas are more active at that time. You can also see some red pandas here, and the red panda is a different species from the giant pandas, even though both of them eat bamboos.
