7 Days

This 7-day Last Shangri-La trip will not only show you the mysterious Shangri-La area but also the spectacular high-plateau nature as well as the authentic nomadic lifestyle of Kham Tibet. Yading Nature Reserve of China’s Sichuan province is believed to be part of the Shangri-La area because it perfectly matches what was described as ‘Shangri-La’ in James Hilton’s book named The Lost Horizon.

You will see the three snowcapped mountains worshipped by local Tibetans and enjoy the breathtaking views by trekking from the 4,100-meter-altitude pasture to the two turquoise lakes located about 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) above sea level. Yading Nature Reserve is no doubt one of the top highlights for travellers who would like to explore the amazing Tibetan area of Sichuan province, China.

Highlights of the Trip
  • Hike one of China’s most spectacular alpine trails at Yading Nature Reserve
  • Enjoy the breathtaking views of the 6,000-meter-high holy mountains
